Not quite straight. For good reason.
Verschneck is a lounge and a bed – with a little bend that makes a big difference. Its 150° angled seating surface was originally designed for onYon: a straight piece of furniture simply didn’t feel right in a round space. The same goes for yurts and other organic spaces.
When we first sat on it, we discovered a nice side effect: the angle naturally turns people slightly towards each other. And when six Verschnecks come together, the shape closes into a full circle – comfortably seating 18 people.
For sitting, lying down and coming together.
There and back again. And anywhere in between.
Verschneck is designed to be flexible not only in use, but also in transport. The entire structure can be quickly disassembled without tools into compact individual parts that fit into the trunk of a regular car. The three Cocoon hoops simply slide into the steel frame and can be removed in seconds. At the same time, the Lounge is compact enough to fit fully assembled into many small vans, turning a vehicle into a simple camper setup without permanent modifications. Arrive, take it out, and your living space moves outdoors. Add the optional table and Verschneck becomes even more versatile – a comfortable outdoor workstation, dining space or place to simply slow down.
